Services

Some of the most sophisticated tools used in today's technology. No expense spared!

These are the services used by the marble industry professionals to correct and protect all marble, granite, travertine, and all stone surfaces, including floors, walls, and all countertops. Your marble surfaces will look like new again when you use these marble services from Italian Marble Polishing, serving all of South Florida. Our team of skilled professionals brings a wealth of knowledge to every job. Customer service is a high priority for Italian Marble Polishing. Our skilled professionals are at your disposal to provide expert assistance in any or all of the following areas, depending upon your individual needs. Please ask about our product savings package, or applicators for floors, walls, and countertop that is essential to keeping your floor looking like the first day it was completed.

Detail Cleaning

Our cleaning services remove dirt, stains, and bacteria. Marble cleaning also helps to remove waxes and polymers that have become embedded. It is imperative that you use a neutral balance pH cleaner, .07 balance when maintenance is done. If not, the floor will begin to haze, and the finish could wear off. We will supply you with the proper literature and verbal information on where to buy the product in the future. If it is a large area floor, we will provide you with the supplies needed. We also offer maintenance programs.

Stripping

Removes topical coatings that block the stone's ability to naturally reflect, which causes spalling (when the stones crack, pop and shale). Some examples of common coatings are janitorial waxes, polyurethane, etc.

Polishing

There are many different levels of shine that can be achieved, from satin finish to a very high reflective gloss on all marble, granite, and stone. Please ask about our maintenance program to keep your surfaces looking like new.

Diamond Grinding

Our grinding process eliminates scratches, blemishes, and removes lippage (uneven tile edges). This is achieved by a machine with many different levels of diamond grits, and when used with water, there is no dust. This is the same process used in the quarry after the marble or stone is quarried — it is rough diamond-ground and brought up through grits 36 - 8000, in order to achieve the factory finish that you see in the showroom. However, it is unsealed and will rarely last six months to one year without having a treatment. When you call us for an estimate to do your floor, we will typically do a light diamond grinding maintenance to restore it to its factory finish then seal it. You will typically get two to three years of use from your floor before it needs to be cleaned and sealed again, depending on the traffic level. We offer a maintenance program, so you never have to go through the full process again.

Satin Finish & Honing

Removes minor scratches and wear from everyday foot traffic. This process leaves a low to no finish result, which is very desirable to achieve the Old European look, which is very easy to care for and is a huge trend with decorators today for an old-world look. This is the best floor finish for low maintenance.

Color Enhancing

Provided by the use of penetrating sealers/impregnators formulated to enhance or enrich the color of your stone.

Sealing

Sealing protects and preserves natural stone against scratching and staining in high traffic areas, and increases slip resistance (using penetrating sealers/impregnators). This is the most natural sealer known to man and is professional-grade.

Restoration of Marble, Granite, and Travertine

Needed when marble or any natural stone is starting to show a hazy or dull finish or scratches on the surface. (This includes a bad installation with high and low edges.) To achieve and restore the perfect luster, or finish on marble, granite, or natural surface, you must consider the most experienced company. The process used is diamond grinding with a marble machine with water, not a typical floor machine. The diamond grinding is used with water and contains the dust. Depending on the degree of restoration needed, there are diamond pads starting at 36 to 3000 grit, or over 10 levels of course-defined grit, to achieve a factory finish. For a high polish finish, restoration paste is required for the ultimate high shine. In order to prolong the restoration process, discuss a maintenance program every six months, and seal your floor with a high-quality impregnator, to prevent scratches and make the floor last longer. We provide our restoration services for residential and commercial clients

A scratched, high-traffic area can be restored using a wet diamond grinding technique to get below the scratches and to give your marble a high-quality factory finish. We are always training to be the best using the newest and best products.
